My Final Video Projecy – I’VE FINALLY MADE A DECISION

I finally made a decision after weeks and weeks of going back and forth between movie trailer and music video, Gladiator or V For Vendetta or Beyonce. Well I finally made a decision ….and guess what?  I picked neither!  I settled on The Fast And The Furious, Tokoyo Drift. There was something about that movie that inspired me to make a trailer. I will post soon when I am done, for now I am going to post the original trailer for the movie.

Yet another canidate for a film analysis..although I’m on th fence with this one! We will see! In the meantime, check out the summary and the clip.

Saving Private Ryan is a 1998 American epic war film set during the invasion of Normandy in World War II. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Robert Rodat. Noted for its graphic and realistic portrayal of war, the film is especially notable for the intensity of its opening 27 minutes, which depicts the Omaha Beach assault of June 6, 1944. Afterwards, it follows Tom Hanks as U.S. Army Captain

John H. Miller and seven other men (Tom Sizemore, Edward Burns, Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, Giovanni Ribisi, Adam Goldberg, and Jeremy Davies) as they search for a paratrooper, Private First Class James Francis Ryan (Matt Damon), who is the last-surviving brother of four servicemen.

This is another video I will be doing a film analysis on. Check it out and stay tuned!

Jaws is a 1975 American thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Peter Benchley‘s novel of the same name. The prototypical summer blockbuster, its release is regarded as a watershed moment in motion picture history. In the story, a giant man-eating great white shark attacks beachgoers on Amity Island, a fictional summer resort town, prompting the local police chief to hunt the shark with the help of a marine biologist and a professional shark hunter. Roy Scheider stars as police chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as oceanographer Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint, Murray Hamilton as the mayor of Amity Island, and Lorraine Gary as Brody’s wife, Ellen.

I will be doing a film analysis on this film ..in particular the opening scene ..referred to as”Chase The Chicken. Below is a brief summary of the film. Take a look!

Finally! Me & My FinalCut Pro Back Together …AGAIN!

Putting the finishing touches on my Seaworld commercial, still some work left to do.  I’m starting to get excited about it …and that’s good.  My theory is, if you watch you video editing work and you get excited about the final project, so will others when they watch it. If you’r not so crazy about it, you can be pretty sure others won’t be captivated by it either.

I’m also excited because I finally got Finalcut Pro re-installed on my Mac. It was never my intention to start this Digital Media class with out it and hence I never got to play around with it as much as I had liked to. However, moving forward I’m diving in head first and letting myself become fully immersed. This is gonna be a hell of a ride and I admit it wouldn’t be much fun without the proper tools.
